Michael S. Green - Managing Partner
Mike founded Green Capital Partners to provide expertise and capital to small and medium-sized Australian businesses. He moved to Australia in January 2013 to fulfil a long-held promise to his Australian wife that their three children would be raised in the family-friendly, warm and beautiful city of Melbourne.
Before his move to Australia, Mike was a Partner at Oak Hill Capital Partners in New York City, where he was responsible for investing and managing Oak Hill's committed capital in Consumer, Retail and Distribution businesses. Over 12 years Mike invested USD$1.2 billion in equity across 8 companies including Dave & Busters, The Hillman Companies and Duane Reade.
Prior to Oak Hill, Mike was a financial analyst at Goldman Sachs & Co. in the Mergers & Acquisitions department and the Private Investment Area (PIA).
Mike earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BA in Economics from Princeton University. He lives in Melbourne, Australia with his wife and three kids.
Leslie Kleinheksel Coote - Chief Operating Officer
Leslie has extensive transaction experience advising on mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, equity (IPO and secondary), debt and private placement offerings while working for Credit Suisse First Boston investment bank in Chicago Illinois, where she held the position of Vice President, before transferring to Palo Alto California as Chief Operating Officer of CSFB’s Technology Group. Before joining Green Capital Partners, Leslie was Group Company Secretary and Financial Analyst at Imperium Capital Group, a privately held investment company, in Melbourne.
Leslie earned an MBA at the J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois, and a BA (Human Biology) at Stanford University. Leslie obtained her CPA (USA) and had 5 years of auditing experience working for Price Waterhouse in San Jose, California. Leslie completed a Graduate Diploma in Corporate Governance and Risk Management with Governance Institute of Australia in 2015. Leslie and her husband and two children have lived in Melbourne since 2004.
